Our Claims and Risks Management Department is backed by a team of dedicated and multi-disciplinary surveyors including engineers with backgrounds in transportation, mechanical, chemical and nautical science. Other experts in our team include lawyers, forwarding specialists as well as insurance specialists.
Committed to delivering Operational Excellence, our team in liaison with Surveys Coordination team ensures that key stakeholders are promptly informed of the requirements for a successful claim handling. Simplicity is the order of the day!!
Our procedures are Simple and Straightforward – right from file receipt/inception through to issuance of our final report. We advise cargo owners and/or consignee to notify their cargo insurance/underwriters and similarly put the Shipping line through their local agents on notice. An appropriate letter of protest is then generated and issued to the responsible party.
As expert’s surveyors, we arrange site visit at the earliest possible opportunity and a summary of the finding shared with the Principal within the day. Thereafter, a detailed standardized preliminary reports shall be provided not later than 48Hrs after attendance.
These reports capture in a clear and concise manner the circumstances, cause, nature and extent of damages with facts and unbiased arguments enabling our Principal to make informed decision.
