Rockledge East Africa Limited staff organized a CSR exercise with local boda boda (motorcycles) with SAFETY being the primary focus. The exercise entailed impacting sustainable road safety skills and awareness towards accidents alleviation. The event was designed to benefit the riders and remind them of the hazards around them.
Through this engagement with local riders, our team offered fundamental guidelines that are crucial for their day to day operations. The riders were honored to learn the importance of wearing protective gears while on the road, understanding and complying with traffic rules & regulations, riding defensively to avoiding distractions, equipping the riders with life-saving skills and instill a sense of responsibility and attentiveness on the roads.
By sharing safety knowledge with the riders, we are not only protecting them but also fostering a culture of safety for all road users. The climax of the day was donating reflective jackets to make the riders more visible and safety conscious on the roads as well as incentives for erecting a shed for riders that will offer them comfort as they go about the daily operations.
To complete the day, the chairman of the Riders Association expressed gratitude to Rockledge fraternity for their involvement in Boda safety activities and for the support that would go a long way towards making them more visible especially at night.
Rockledge would like to thank everyone who attended.
