Hypothecated and pledged stocks
Rockledge East Africa Limited is known for carrying out hypothecated and pledged stocks. Our on-site supervisors act for and on behalf of our principals to identify problems early enough and prevent further exposure.We provide stock monitoring services for verification of quality and quantity of commodities stored in warehouses and/or silos. The Stock Monitoring Agreement (SMA) signed between parties involved in the stock monitoring are generally not held under exclusive custody but are verified and validated by our team.
The inbound and outbound movement of commodities is thoroughly supervised. All recordings are reported to our customers in REAL time. If stocks variations arise, clients are kept abreast alerting them to situations at hand in order to mitigate and prevent further loss and/or quality deterioration.
We inspect storage facilities thoroughly and advise our clients on the nature and the condition of stocks, method of stacking, approximate value, condition of the warehouse, firefighting equipment and a detailed security information in addition to any recommendation for gaps/deficiencies realized during our survey.
Scope of our Stock Monitoring services:
- Thorough and detailed inspection of the storage facility assuring suitability for storage of goods
- Supervision of stacking/storing of goods into a warehouse/terminal and/or silo
- Issuance of warehouse or silo receipts
- Daily verification of the commodity condition, quantity stored and its quality
- Supervision of inbound/outbound movement of the commodity upon receipt of instructions
- Recording and reporting of inbound and/or outbound movement of the commodity
- Details of each stocks survey and reports are customized to meet customer’s individual needs regardless of location and size.
